I fell

I fell into the kindness of your eyes

as they shone sprinkles of smiles

when in free fall leaning toward

fears flew as tears and cries

of joy knew you had found

and carried me to that safe place

where suspended in time and space

was no yesterday nor tomorrow

only now; here and the now of knowing

the touch of velvet rain

washing the irritation of cruel dust

and surrendering in pools of calm

kissing sweet breath on parched lips

and opening air ways of honeyed breeze.

This is a lovely sounding poem - it carries with it many sound echoes, rhymes, half rhymes which flow through the whole piece. I love the ‘in the moment’ feel - salient, wise, and at the same time a little vulnerable

Being in the here and now! We often don’t spend enough time being aware of this space. I love how as in ‘I fell’ we can all fall into and find this safe and cleansing space of surrender and calm.
