Come God and Teach. By Jo-Ann Hughes
Come God and teach us your good lessons.
Who threw a brick through the window’s world;
a reality check of hope filled confessions,
that sank its breath, a despair so disturbed?
Come God and teach us your good lessons.
Help us understand what it is you reveal.
Pull back the curtain and unfold what is true.
Redefine the new normal, and please don’t conceal.
Are the stars from sky falling?
Is the moon blood red song?
Imagine world’s ending!
Everything gone, gone, so utterly gone!
In its unveiling nothing granted is taken.
PandemiC 19 reworks wholly our real.
An invitation to depth and unused understanding.
An ending, for a new kind of deal.
Come God and teach me your good lessons.
Help me stop fighting, pushing this away.
Let me dive it’s unpleasant unveiling.
For my way, was never the valid way.
