Breath - In 6 Haikus by Jo-Ann Hughes
Breath bridges with time,
circulates its linear path
a rhythm of air.
Breath is now not then,
a moment gone, now waiting
off-beat for new nudge.
Breath slows from fast flow,
searching back to river’s source
wrestling cross currents.
Breath floats mist from earth,
a breeze rising and falling
new in sun’s warm ways.
Breath catches a cold
blast of hope stowed beginning
as its stale strain sails.
Breath weaves heaven’s spirit
unifying assurance
that all will be well.

This is lovely, Jo, it has a slow surreal quality that the reader is enveloped by. The opening use of ‘Breath’ for each stanza is quite hypnotic
